About the service
Wesley’s Ghost is an independent educational project operated by the creator known publicly as Stafari. It offers Bible, doctrine, and Wesley-sermon reference tools plus AI-assisted conversation within the stated Wesleyan boundaries. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Global Methodist Church. Any legally required controller or trader legal identity and address must be added to these terms before international question processing or checkout is activated under them. Checkout and payment receipts will also identify the Stripe or Link merchant of record and required seller details for the transaction.
The Site is not a pastor, church, crisis service, health provider, lawyer, financial adviser, or substitute for Scripture, worship, professional care, or a trusted local community. Do not rely on it for emergencies or as an official church ruling.
Reference Mode and Conversation subscriptions
Reference Mode remains free without a subscription or sign-in. Conversation Mode requires an active Individual, Family, or Church subscription. During a controlled beta, an invitation may also be required.
- Individual: $12 USD monthly or $120 yearly; 100 Conversation replies per month for one adult.
- Family: $24 USD monthly or $240 yearly; 200 shared Conversation replies per month for up to six adults in one household.
- Church, up to 50 congregation members: $49 USD monthly or $490 yearly; 300 shared replies per month.
- Church, up to 150 members: $99 USD monthly or $990 yearly; 700 shared replies per month.
- Church, up to 300 members: $179 USD monthly or $1,790 yearly; 1,300 shared replies per month.
- Church, up to 750 members: $349 USD monthly or $3,490 yearly; 2,600 shared replies per month.
Church tiers use the entire congregation’s membership count, including members who do not sign in. Accounts and question submission are for adults. A family or church administrator pays for one group subscription and manages member invitations. Each member uses a separate account. Changing a church’s declared size requires support before changing its tier.
Every generated reply, including a follow-up, uses one reply from the selected account or shared group allowance. Allowances reset on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC, including yearly subscriptions. Unused replies do not roll over and have no cash value. Switching plans does not reset that month’s usage. Reference Mode does not consume Conversation replies.
Recurring billing and currency
Clerk manages subscriptions and Stripe processes payments. By choosing a plan and confirming checkout, you authorize the recurring USD charge shown at checkout every month or year until canceled. Yearly prices equal ten monthly payments. Review the exact recurring amount and billing interval before purchase. Your bank may charge conversion or foreign-transaction fees.
Wesley’s Ghost is the seller. Clerk Billing is not a merchant of record and does not automatically calculate or remit sales tax or VAT. The seller remains responsible for applicable taxes. Availability depends on supported payment methods, providers, and applicable law.
Cancellation and access
Cancel at any time through Manage individual subscription or, as your group’s administrator, Manage group subscription. Cancellation stops future renewal. Access continues through the paid period, with the monthly allowance still resetting on the first of each month. Signing out, deleting data, removing members, or not using the service does not cancel a subscription. If billing settings are unavailable, contact stafari@proton.me.
Refunds
Purchases and renewals are non-refundable except where mandatory law requires a remedy or for verified duplicate or unauthorized charges, activation failure, or service-delivery failure. Contact support to investigate. A qualifying refund and cancellation must be handled together when entitlement should end; a refund alone does not automatically cancel a Clerk subscription. A duplicate-charge refund preserves the legitimate subscription. See Refunds & billing support.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and in good faith. Do not attempt to bypass message allowances or security, access another person’s account, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer protected systems, introduce malware, scrape at a harmful rate, or use the service to threaten, exploit, deceive, or harm others. Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect visitors, the project, providers, or the law.
Your account
Clerk provides account registration, sign-in, and session management for subscribers and group members. Keep access to your sign-in method secure and use the same Clerk account for the Site and Clerk checkout. Static pages and public source links may be read without an age confirmation. To submit a question in either mode, you must separately confirm that you are at least 18 and at least the age of majority where you live. A paid subscription has the same age requirement, and you must be legally able to enter the subscription agreement. The project does not currently offer a question-submission or paid-subscription path for minors.
Availability, changes, and price changes
The service may change, pause, or experience errors, maintenance, provider outages, safety limits, or beta-platform limits. The project may improve features and allowances over time. Material subscription or price changes will be disclosed before they apply, with advance notice and a chance to cancel when required by law. A paid cycle already purchased will not be shortened merely because the standard allowance changes.
Consumer rights and responsibility
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or waives a warranty, cancellation right, refund right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If mandatory local consumer law conflicts with these terms, that law controls.
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of, or inability to use, educational answers. This does not limit responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.
Privacy, updates, and contact
The Privacy notice explains data handling. These terms may be updated for service, provider, or legal changes. Material changes will receive notice or renewed consent when required. Questions may be sent to stafari@proton.me.
